I got a female from Bill in August. He is an excellent person to deal with. He is very down to earth and helpful, he will go out of his way to help you and make sure that you are happy with your dog. I have been very pleased with the temperament, health and performance of the dog I got from him. I wouldn't hesitate to get another dog from him in the future.
Hi! I don't mean to get long winded with you but here goes....
I am the current owner of a 4 month old male Malinois puppy from Mason's Kennels in Blue Mountain, MS. This was my first experience in dealing with a breeder online & first time owning a Mal. In both cases I couldn't be happier with my decision. Let me start by telling you a few things that pop in my head when I think of Bill Mason....honest, hardworking, trustworthy, dedicated, family man...He truly is just a great person who loves what he does and he truly loves his dogs and takes great pride & care in each and every litter. He absolutely stands out from other breeders in my mind for his knowledge of the breed, his training knowledge & just how easy he is to talk to. I was a bit leary about finding a dog from an online breeder but from the first time I spoke with Bill he quickly put my mind at ease. He is dedicated to his dogs and their breeding and their litters. He kept me informed of the puppies progress every step with e-mails, phone calls and pictures...and to do this for every of the prospective puppy owners is a lot of work to say the least! My puppy was from a litter of 10 gorgeous healthy pups. I cannot go anywhere with him from the time I got him at 8 weeks old till now without people doing double takes and stopping me to ask what kind of "gorgeous creature" is that? He excels in everything he has done so far for such a young guy! He is a solid, strong, healthy puppy that has drive out of this world and continues to shock and amaze people with how attentive, focused and what a quick study he is. I already know that whatever I choose to do with this puppy in the future whether it be protection, tracking, sport...he will be at the top of his class.
I would absolutely recommend Bill & his kennels to anyone I know that is interested in owning a Malinois, learning more about the breed or for training. He will always be upfront and honest and answer any questions you may have.
You will be in the best of hands with Mason's Kennels.
If you have any other specific questions about my dealings with Mason's Kennels or about my Mal puppy, please feel free to post your questions!
I too just got my precious little Dixie Doodle Bug from Bill this summer and she is the bomb!! I have purchased one other Mal before and I think quality wise, Bill's dogs are far superior. She arrived in perfect condition; had no worms, no scratches and was well adjusted. The fact that she has ruined countless socks, shorts and shirts should not deter you...afterall a very good sign! My husband and I are both in lawe nforcement and one of my K9 cop friends just bought one from him as well. Trust me when I say he is great and the puppies are the best.
I bought a male off of the Mason's Ledgen a little over a year ago. These are very honest people with some of the best bloodlines of malinois's! Bill is a straight shooter who will not BS you.He has a lot of experience in breeding and a sincere love for his dogs. My dog is very sound with a very high drive to work at anytime of the day or night, which he warned me about in advance!
This is totally off subject, but I had to mention it.
Deena, LMAO! Dixie Doodle Bug? LOVE it! I'm from the South and that just cracked me up. I have a fine appreciation for anything with Dixie in it. I hope you both have a happy time together.
Being a southern girl myself I'm glad to know about this kennel! Actually, I don't live all that far from them!
Cat, I once had a sheltie named Dixie Darlin!!!! <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> She was a mean little shat though, not a darlin at all! Guess it was because I bought her in Oklahoma. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
My wife gave me a Mason's Mal for Christmas, and I couldn't be happier! As everyone else here has already said, Bill is a straight-shooter, and will not lead you astray. Not only will he tell you the lowdown on his pups, but if he thinks that you don't need/can't handle a Mal, he'll tell you that too. My little Beau is a product of Mojoe and August.
