Jason Michaels Webboard User Reg: 04-07-2004 Posts: 11 Loc: Offline	Is anyone familiar with any type of dog first aid classes? I know that many search and rescue organizations require the handlers to have a first aid class, but I have not found a lot of information on any in my area-South Eastern PA. If anyone could point me to a group that offers classes, it would be appreciated. I did talk to one search and rescue group and they had a vet come in and do theirs so they couldn't point me in the right direction.

Our local shelter hosts them. You can check witht the red cross in your area, or with the shelters. Sometimes the vets around here also give first aid classes, also hosted at the shelters or sometimes at their clinics. Lynn Ballard Webboard User Reg: 05-11-2004 Posts: 68 Loc: Offline	Our group took the one offered by the red cross. It was like 25.00 a person and you get certified for life. It's a pretty easy class. The dog/cat dummies are fun too.
