Does anyone know of any working line breeders in Canada? I'm helping out a friend.
On a sidenote, though, would you say they're on the same level as dobermans in terms of shedding? I'm just personally curious, I have a friend with allergies and he's allergic to boxers but doesn't react to my retriever/vizsla mix - it's weird.
I think the reason why carol asked is because you asked about a breeder for Boxers for your friend but then said that you have a friend that is allergic to 'em. I was confused too but I think you are asking about 2 unrelated issues? Any way as for boxers and Dobies I believe they shed the same way.None the less they shed. As for a Boxer breeder I had seen one advertising on the GSD pedigree web site other than that I don't know any. Sorry.

I personally don't know much about boxers, but I have surely enjoyed watching first hand what these particular dogs are doing.
In my very limited experience around a couple of Dobes and a couple of Boxers at work, the Dobes shed less. However, Dobes seem to be more prone to skin issues and when they get skin issues, let it snow! Dandruff and fur everywhere. We have a rescue at my work that has thyroid issues, and when the dunces who open in the morning forget to give the poor thing his meds, his skin would get pretty bad pretty fast. I've heard that's a breed thing, the thyroid, but a good breeder would obviously avoid dogs with thyroid issues in their lines.
