Is that my mistake? Should i be verbally scolding her for toileting indoors then?
Mark.
No. If she goes inside, scoop her up instantly, rush her out, and praise happily when she finishes outside.
If she's tethered to you or crated until you swoop her out to go, there will be no (or very few) such incidents.
My opnion is no. No scolding for going inside. If you caught it instantly then you can turn it into an outside-lesson. If you did not, then it's too late.
scollding for us is all that would work with our King Charles. For our GSD it was a piece of cake, even as very young pups they knew to use our doggie door, or paw at the door. But this little guy is very stubborn and feels that going outside to do his business is out of the question.I understand the scollding problem some people have in regards of potty training but some breeds of dogs don't get it like some others.
