I have a problem that may be someone can help with or may have seen before. I have 11-month-old labx that servied parvo at 6weeks of age. This past week she has been unable to keep her food down. Took her to the vet and they put her on an anti-biotic, tigament 300, and a bland diet. She still unable to keep food down but still wants to play and run around and will try and jump in you lap to eat your food. She has lost 6lbs all together. Took her back to the vet today and had x-rays and a blood work up done. The vet said that her liver and kidney enzymes were high, like he has seen in animals that have been hit by a car or suffered some type of trauma and he his unable to come up with anything that could be causeing this. He is going to talk with another vet in the morning for a second opion.
We have not seen her get in to anything and our other two dogs are not showing any signs of going through the same thing. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I think parvo survivors (lol) are more prone to gastric irritation, gastroenteritis, for the life of the dog. You said her kidney results were a little off. Is she dehydrated, still taking in water? If you lift the skin between the shoulder blades and it is slow to return to position the she is dehydrated. That would explain the kidney issue. The liver enzymes might indicate pancreatitis.
There are a million things that could cause liver/kidney dysfuction, but the two don't usually appear at the same time, except in cases of shock, such as from blood loss. I think that is what your vet meant.

She is not dehydrated. The vet said just right off hand the kidney and liver results seemed to show some tissue damaged something he would of expected to see if she would have been hit by a car or she got ahold of a chemical. He asked if we had given her any motrin of asprin and i replyed no. He said to check the house and the yard for anything and we have and cant find anything. Plus our 5month old GSD eats anything she does and he is perfectly fine. When she was on medication we would give that to her and wait an hour to feed her. She would keep the meds down but not her food. Any info would be great or if you know a vet medicine website. Thanks
