I didn't look at the site. Is this a rescue group & do they have her in a foster home? Have they evaluated her or anything? Or is all you have to go by is what the owner told them? Are they close by? Can you go out with a friend to check her out?

My first instinct would be that since she wants to be the "alpha" in the pack that she is more pushy with the children and not trying to protect them but rather put them in the pack order she wants them?? But without seeing the behavior that is just a thought.
At least the place is recommending that the dog go to a home where someone can handle her and hopefully she finds a home with a responsible handler that will give her the stimulation she sounds like she needs.
