My sil's neighbor has a very nice friendly pitbull.
The pitbull is very neglected and gets out of the yard on a regular basis. The owner is rarely home and within the last few days said he was willing to let the dog go to a better home. We called the humane society yesterday but they haven't shown up yet......they have 3 officers for a city of 500,000...blah blah blah.
The dog is very friendly and approaches every neighbor when they get out of the car and she tries to bite them....not mean but I think she is trying to get attention and she just wants to play....but a biting game with a pitbull is just an accident waiting to happen. So what do you do?????
I am sure if we could contact a rescue group somebody would gladly come pick her up. I think she is about 1 year old and very sweet and friendly but....too friendly....and lonly and neglected
Do an online search for APBT rescue; the local animal control is probably not going to provide a happy ending for this dog. Why not grab her yourself and take her to a breed specific rescue?
