10.) Why is it important to mark taking a muzzle off of a dog? Wouldn't this be counter productive to the desensitizing process by making the removal of the muzzle rewarding for the dog?
11.) In a multiple dog household, when petting one dog and pushing any others away, should the owner give a command to the dog that is being pushed away, such as a place command?
10) Marking the collar coming off or going on, makes the pup/dog think of it as a positive experience and imprinting of this is great for you and the dog in the long run, if you want a good working relationship with the dog.
11) The dog the highest on the 'totem pole'(dog with higher rank than others, but below you) should recieve attention first and depending on where you are with training, you might have to give a command( no ). This is just from my own experience with my two dogs.
