That's the thing they've had countless meetings about, if it's too affordable, then everyone that has dogs will show up to show off their dogs and not use the health facility for what's intended but if it's too expensive than the volume of members will drop.A happy medium is what they are researching. Also making some strict rules will eliminate alot of what is unwanted .Like I said it's been in the works for 2 years, they have their first location(I can't discuss)and it will be a huge facility.

I have wanted to do this very thing here where I live. I think it is a great idea. I think it has great potential, especially since there is a big need for rehab facilities for dogs.

This is a great idea! I love to have a variety of places to go with my dog for exercise. You might find that more people use the facilities when the weather is less than optimal. So, you may have peaks and valleys. If you want something for dog therapy, I have heard that the underwater treadmill is great. The Health Clubs that I have belonged to over the years had great rules but I usually left because they were not enforced. With dogs in the mix, you will need a great and dog knowledgeable staff. Good Luck!
Of course even if I had a club like that around here I wouldn't have the money to join... not until I graduate from uni, get a real job, save money etc. etc.
...so until then, I'll have to stick to walking in the rain and slush and mud. At least my dogs don't seem to mind
The pool exercising would be excellent for puppies or older/dysplastic dogs (I have both!) who could use the extra conditioning without stressing their joints.
Let us know if you go through with the plans - I'd love to see the concept in action! Good luck.
