Okay....I need to take my dog back to the vet. When I take him for an 'exam' what should I walk out of there with?
What should be done, what test should the vet take, etc?
I see people saying take the dog in to see about HD, etc....I dont remember either vet checking for that. One took his temp, one didnt, they basically looked at him....tested a stool sample and we were on our way.
Is that a normal exam/checkup?
Also...what is the 'normal' cost for an exam?
Does an exam include blood tests?
If not, should a blood test be done? I have had him for 4 months and he has never been to the vet before I took him when I first got him which is when I found out he had whip worm and coccidia.
I basically need to know what I should expect out of a visit to the vet in case they try to get off easy by not doing what they should be and take my money anyways.
Exams in my area cost $30 to $40. Varies by area. My vet was one of the more $, but worth it as he gave a through exam.
Blood tests are additional. http://realgsd.info/GSDinfo/Care/choosvet.htm
