We have been feeding our 2.5yo MalxGSD on this and she appears to be doing well.
It was recommended and sold to us by our dog-trainer, who turned out to be a crook.. another story, but it did make us wonder about his recommendation!
Does anyone here know anything about it, or have an opinion?
Could'nt find anything onit but found some other dry foods that have had recalls including Royal canin, i think it was their can product.
I think I was thinking of another dry food that had a recent recall.
Hope I didn't scare you
Found this on dictionary.com: definition of rumen (one of the definitions of "paunch"): "The first division of the stomach of a ruminant animal, in which most food collects immediately after being swallowed and from which it is later returned to the mouth as cud for thorough chewing. Also called PAUNCH."
If that's what the dog food ingredient is referring to, I'm not sure. Probably is, but didn't know a flour could be made of it.
I will ask their Spanish distributor and *may* get a reply!
( I have just emailed them)
Yes, 'paunch' is, effectively, the same as 'tripe', which many humans don't like to eat, but is very nutritious, I believe!
Something appears to have been lost in translation!
As I say, it certainly suits our Dolly very well, and her stools are not as unpleasant to pick up as when she had other food, very dark and firm ..... sorry if you are having breakfast
