I breed Rat Terriers and Great Pyrenees just as a hobbie. Mine are working dogs. The Rats get the rats and the Pyrs guard the goat herd and do a terrific job.The rats stay at home the pyrs I have to watch as if they get loose they are known as disapyrs! They just meander though..they do not just go racing like other dogs .They are big beautiful teddy bears and would be a lot more popular dog if they were'nt so BIG!
I have GSD's. However, my wife does rescue for Pyr's. We currently have 5 adult pyr's and one 5 month old. They are good dogs and great for watching over a herd.
I love the Great Pyrenees. They're one of the most beautiful breeds around. Have never had one, but boy did you tempt me with the pictures of those pups on your site. How incredibly gorgeous and cute at the same time. A friend used to have one. One of the gentlest sweetest dog souls I've met.
