I HAVE A TOY POODLE THAT I JUST RECENTLY BRED FOR THE SECOND TIME. SHE IS 3 YEARS OLD. THE FIRST TIME I BRED HER ON THE 10TH,12, AND 14TH DAY. SHE HAD 5 PUPS. THIS SECOND TIME SHE BRED ON THE 11TH AND 13TH DAY.THE BREEDER TRIED TO BREED HER ON THE 15TH DAY BUT SHE WAS SHOWING TEETH AND ALMOST BIT HER!
I LIVE IN ROCHESTER NY. I DRIVE MY POODLE TO MARYLAND TO A REPUTABLE BREEDER TO BREED AND THEN I STAY WITH MY FRIEND IN MD WHILE MY DOG IS BEING BRED. MY DOG IS VERY ATTACHED TO ME. MY QUESTION IS- DO YOU THINK MY DOG IS DIFFICULT TO BREED BECAUSE SHE SUFFERS FROM SEPARATION ANXIETY OR BECAUSE SHE JUST DOESN'T LIKE TO BREED? I WONDER IF SHE'S GAY? LOL!!!
I'm not a breeder, so I can't answer your question but can I suggest that you not post in all caps? IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE YELLING AT US!!! Also, it's harder to read.

I would tend to think that she was no longer in standing heat and not receptive. Or maybe she just was not in the mood?
I do not have a lot of experience with breeding but if she was willing to breed the first two times, maybe the dates were a little off.
Does the breeder have any explanation?

If it wasn't meant to be , why bother, let her make that desicion on her(your female) own.You might of mist the op time and nothing more.We tried to breed our female on her 10th day and when the stud came into her run , she had no interest, didn't fight him but she would not let him mount by running away in a play mode, so I felt like well he's an old stud and she wants nothing to do or she is to immature(she's 2 1/2) never had a litter, so I left it at that and asked my friend to come and pick up his male, I had made the decision to breed her on her next heat and use a younger stud and re-do her Schutz 1 in the mean time and when he came to pick up his stud, a few hours before , I looked outside and they were tied.I thought well what do you know just when it became not important and not expecting it , it happend.Don't be so caught up in it , if it happens it happens, if not , it's no big deal.Let it happen naturally.
