I am wondering what everybody thinks about this?Some Trainers I come across state a Pup or young Dog goes through a Stage of Fear at a certain age?Other Trainers say its Hogwash.What do you all think?My Apology"s if this has already been discussed as I am a relatively new Poster.Thank you all. Hi tony, yes this topic has been discussed many times and if you use the search function you'll see some. Of course, I know that there's a lot to weed through and sometimes the subjects of these posts don't give you much to go on.
Edited to say: It sometimes helps when searching to use various words, such as "scared" "nervousness" "anxiety." Also, browsing the list of posts within an appropriate forum helps, too. Good luck!
I have to add that yes they do go through a phase of being unsure of them selves, not all but out of 10 shepehrds I've had 2 have shown that phase, they went form being bold and full of themselves from tiny to 7 months and then not too trusting of any thing, back at a year to being bold again , go figure
