Most of the time, my two "kids" sleep in their crates. But when my fiance is working nights(12 hr shifts, gone 14 hrs total) they sleep in the bedroom with me(wherever they are comfortable is where they sleep(bed, floor, dog bed, WHEREVER-lol) they are my first line of defense in the event of a break in, then I have a 9mm in the bedside stand ready to pump lead into the idiot that will keep coming after hearing a VERY deep and loud bark(scary if ya never met my dogs before).
I didn't know there were so many on-the-bed doggies around here!
Puppy sleeps in crate or out in very small fenced yard w/ doghouse.
Lab mix sleeps on a rug in the bedroom, in crate, or in the fenced yard.
Abby (the spoiled rotten one) has earned her place on the foot of the bed - and under the blankets. The husband thinks she makes an excellent foot warmer.
She sleeps in her kennel outside, I wanted her to sleep in the house but she FARTS stinks up the HOUSE and SNORES More and Louder than a territorial Lion I love my dog but she stays outside at night.
Mine sleep in the bedroom on the floor. We had some issues with housetraining when I first brought them home and I noticed that if jake had to go and wasn't going to wake me up, he'd go out into the living room to do his thing away from the rest of us. So, I started closing the bedroom door. He wakes me up every time now(although its pretty infrequent now). The prized spot on the floor is in the corner on my side of the bed, on top of some leftover carpet samples I brought home for them. Dixon usually makes it there first, but if by some chance jake does, dixon will run out and start playing with jake's squeaky ball; Jake will run out to investigate, and Dixon makes a mad dash for the corner spot. They are too funny!
