Took Anka to the vet on Monday for a Titers test and a general checkup. This was her first visit since I got her a month or so ago. She is 17 weeks old.
The vet of course wanted to do the full set of vaccines. After a lively discussion he agreed to do the titers at the cost of $175, is that normal or did I get ripped?
Distemper - Parvo came back at greater than 1:5 which is good.
The lepto was flat. No exposure too.
Anka did have 2 vaccines at 7 and 10 weeks by her breeder's vet which included lepto.
Don't think we will be doing anything else other than the rabies which is required by law.
The office was very impressed with her looks, attitude and general disposition. Especially when I turned her on with the ball and back off with a good tummy rub. They had all 3 vets and all the assistants come by and look at her.
Then they found out we were feeding raw and oh the looks. It was great.
