This is an interesting bit of science: DNA testing for mixed breed dogs to determine the various breeds in their heritage.
As far as I can tell, this test isn't available yet, and when it is it will only include 38 different breeds of dog to start with, but I know that many of my clients would be interested in this if it turns out to be worth anything down the road.
Mixed breed owners seem to spend a lot of time talking about what breeds they think their dog has in them. Could be fun for the FYI catagory..
Makes you wonder (if this technology becomes well-received and accepted) how it will apply to breed-specific legislation. What happens if your mutt turns out to be half Pit in areas where that breed is banned?

Or, how the regulation/legislation ban-the-bad-breed crowd will react when told "It may look like a Pit...but it's not a Pit".
I'll bet some of those people won't be happy with this technology.
