Well Judy, in a sense I do have your life, I am active duty military and while right now I don't travel overseas frequently, that's always subject to change. I LOVE that signature pic, is that your pup? Who is the new little one next to Gunnar?
I dragged my lazy butt outta the bed this am @ around 0400-0430 immediately when the alarm went off and let her out. It's still a little hazy, but I don't think she ever whined. I think Susan was right, damn dog was reminding to get my lazy butt outta the bed.
All very good advice. I'll be revisiting this thread many times to lock it into place and rewatching the Basic Obedience DVD. Thanks!

Well, color me stupid !! You're in the military and I'm telling you about preparedness !
It looks like there's no way I'm gonna recover from that profound embarrassment so I'll just slink away quietly.
Before I go, that pup in the pic was put down at about 15 weeks old . Had congenital defect that was not operable. It was my sister's pup.
All of you guys/gals have beautiful dogs...they literally take my breath away. Gunnar is no exception!
Brenna knows the routine now so she's getting better about not being such a noise box when she thinks I'm "in the process" of getting stuff together so we can play/eat/go outside/whatever...
but wow, she sure doesn't like the snooze button!!!
Well, if there is anything that can hone one's skill of getting their "rear into gear" (besides the military), it's being a single mother! That's one helluva boot camp experience!! What is it they say? That which does not kill you, can only make you stronger.
