Hey everyone! I appreciate your feedback on this.
My bitch is 5 years old and delivered on Feb 1st. So the pups are 6 weeks old tomorrow. My bitch has a short coat so this is hard to notice, but she has lost all the long hair up her back legs from her knee's to her hips.
It is uniform on both sides. It looks like you took hair clipers and ran up both sides of her legs. There is just a very short brown hair growing right against the skin.
It should not be thyroid as it was checked just a few months ago. Also her energy level is the same.
Before the pregnancy she had gained weight for no appearant reason. She is a very active dog but had put on around 10 lbs.
Does this sound like a hormone problem and if so what can be done?
It was my understanding that most bitches blow coat after whelping. I would think how much varies from breed to breed and dog to dog. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
