I am not sure what this Vet thought he was trying to convince anyone of here. If his point is that he fixed this dog and it no longer had vaccinosis well he is full of crap.
The only thing he did was cover the symptoms with additional medication. That had nothing to do with the underlying damage the vaccination caused.
The damage from vaccinations can go on for a lifetime - some damage does not show for months after the vaccination.
If you need a readon not to vaccinate - look at this poor dog. They should show the dog 3 months, 6 months and 3 years later.
Tell us what medical problems he developed at a young age.
My father had a rottweiler that showed exceptional health his entire life. At eleven years of age, his only problem was the onset of arthritis. This dog had not been to a vet since it was a young dog of two or three years, maybe younger. No vaccinations since.
We took the dog to the vet just have him checked up and get ideas on relieving arthritis pain and general health questions.
The vet also pumped my fathers dog with over $50.00 in vaccine boosters/shots after telling me the dog was at great risk of serious illness from lack of 'proper' vaccinations.
The vet told me he was a happy healthy dog despite the arthritis, and sent him home with a clean bill of health.
The injection site remained irritated and the dog always fussed at it. His mood became sedated and his movements were slow and lethargic. He wasn't eating all his food and seeked isolation. The second week after the shots he was hardly eating anything, showed noticable weight loss. There were other symptoms.
The poor dog died less then two weeks after the shot.
When I found Ed's site and read about vaccinosis, It was like an instant replay of that poor rottweilers last days.
I cannot help but wonder about my own dog's health problems and the relationship to the vaccines. I think so much is not known. He received a series of three vaccines: Lyme, Rabies and Distemper ALL AT ONCE and he was a puppy still! Next day he started limping. Elbow dysplasia and a probable incongruent elbow joint leading to this problem. You know what I suspect? That is is entirely possible that the vaccines triggered something, stopped the bones/ joint from growing properly, then bam, dysplasia. I have brought this up with several different vets we've had the unfortunate pleasure to visit as we've gone the surgical route, and they all strongly deny there's even a chance vaccines can throw a body out of whack. Add me to the list of NEVER AGAIN. I also just read in Pitcairns book how Lyme disease is not real in dogs, the vaccine is a waste of time and money and exposure. Dogs develope vague symptoms and are diagnosed with Lyme when the real cause of their problems are never found out! It's made me think a lot about what we "know."
I just brought my dog in last week for a checkup and a rabies vaccine, which is required by law where I live. I told the vet I would do titers for everything else, and I'm glad I did. Six days after the rabies vac, he has significant swelling between his shoulder blades (it looks like he has an egg sitting on the back of his neck). I called the vet and they said as long as he's not showing signs of discomfort I should just keep an eye on him and it will go away in three weeks. They said they would report the reaction to the vaccine company. Should I report this to the FDA as well?
The swelling does not seem to bother him, he has all his usual energy and appetite.
I just came upon this thread, missed it when it was posted a year ago. I'm bumping it so more people can see the video and read what Ed Frawley wrote. The reaction this dog had makes you want to cry.
