"My sister's dog was insistent and sat down and kept looking under some shrubs," said Jennifer Scott, who found the hours-old boy stuffed in a bag. "I was like -- 'What's going on?' I knelt down and I saw what looked like a comforter bag that was pushed down and zipped closed."
"So I pulled it out and unzipped it and jumped back because I didn't know what was inside of it. And then I heard crying. It was a baby -- an infant."
California has the surrender baby law (no questions asked) in affect since 2000,she picked to put him in a bag for death, unbelievable, why why why........
YOu know there are people in this world who can't have babies, or have a children struggle with permanent health issues, and when you hear someone discarding a perfectly healthy baby like garbage, there are no words..
Some mothers should learn from the mothers of the animal world, they risk their own life for their off springs, not the other way around..
I do not mean to hijack this thread but this seems apropriate.
People like this mother need to educate themselves as to the services that are available to pregnant women. Childrens Home Society for one offers counseling and assistance. They also offer a wide range of adoption services such as
Open Adoption.
My guess, the mom is a crack head, but I'm not certain. Just think if that lady didn't walk the dog in that area. The dog certainly saved that baby.
I'll be honest, I don't know if I would have unzipped any bag unless I heard the crying first. Certainly a prime example of fate.
