I have been told by some breeders that the procedure (which I am in favor of) does not need to be done in a vets. office, in other words I can do this myself. Since this is my first time attempting this I would like some suggestions on how to go about this. The Pups are now 48hrs old and I know that there is a time frame in which I have to do this. With that said- there is NO PLACE in my book for a breeder to crop tails. The only reason to do it is because the person is too cheap to go to a vet. Cropping tails amounts to cutting bone and this is not something breeders (amatures) should be doing themselves. Take the litter to the vet and get it done properly. This thread is closed - the question comes real close to pissing me off. I don't care what others have to say about it. No one on my board will be telling people how to crop taisl.
