I live on Cape Cod, about an hour and a half SE from Boston. I was originally committed to the fact that I would have to give up on ever getting Carbon involved in Schutzhund, but as he's been growing I've been seeing more and more potential for him. I'm really starting to think that it might be worth a drive.
Can anyone direct me to any Schutzhund clubs/contacts in MA or Rhode Island? Providence and Boston are about equal distance to me.
Many thanks.
PS- I haven't so far been raising him as a working/sport dog, but he just turned 5 mos. Is it likely that I'll be able to get past any "pet" sort of stuff I may have done to him?
Oops...I meant to post this in Schutzhund, not the new and Forming clubs section.

Edit reason: I'm an space-shot.
Check the listing of clubs on the USA (United Schutzhund Clubs of America) website -- there is also a link from there to the New England region website.
Thanks, Katie, I've been to that site but I was hoping that there might be others or that the site was outdated, because otherwise that's really slim pickings for me!
I figured there'd be a Schutzund club in Boston. I'm not sure where Chester is, I'll have to check into it.
Amber, There was a club in the Providence area, don't know if it still is there or not. Contact John Sequino..(he finished 2nd in SchH II at the 2005 Regionals held in Providence by that club..don't know his e-mail address, but he is the distributor for K9 power products (google the name) He used to train with that club in the Providence, RI area, I believe. Don't know if the club is still there or not but he may know. Also contact Pia Blackwell (on the USA site) she may know if there is any training in your area....she is in Plymouth, Ma. She is the regional director, I think. Check on the USA site. Good luck. I feel your pain...it is slim pickins in the Ct area also.
Actually, that's the site that I originally got to Leerburg from. They link to this site. The Baystate Police and Schutzhund Club is probably my best bet. I'm going to e-mail them today. I just wasn't sure if there were smaller clubs, or clubs that were just starting that maybe wouldn't be found on links.
