Thankfully the raw food I'm able to order for him comes with bone ground bone already in it. Some of the meats have bone and organ mixed in also. Ground lamb is too fatty, it gives him super diarrhea and if I cook the lamb, he looses the raw benefit. But what are lamb flaps?

If its really bad, those glands can be surgically removed. I've never heard of bad effects from removal.
Removing the anal glands is a delicate surgery and if done incorrectly or done by someone inexperienced can result in major problems such as nerve damage. This happened to a cat of mine...believe me, nerve damage in that region of the body is really not something you want to experience
Are you ordering from Taylor Pond Farms at all? I'm a Michigan girl myself and have success ordering from them. They have a good variety. And have you had him tested for EPI at all? His trouble with food sounds very much like my girl who is borderline EPI...our only problem now is GAS. She is on just a little bit of digestive enzymes and a raw diet. Big difference. I also use some products from http://www.b-naturals.com with a lot of success in regards to digestive problems. Feel free to PM me if you need more info. I understand how frustrating things of this nature can be...went through it for a long time with my Grace.
Yes,I do order from Taylor Pond Farms. We're so pleased with the food ordered and having Barb deliver the food! I'm getting ready to send in another order. Hopefully they'll be able to increase inventory.
Our boy is EPI free. =)
I'll send a PM in just a minute--thanks for the offer.
