I would definitely go to the Vet with an extended stomach!!!
We're on the back end of diarrhea with our 7 mos old GSD and it's been a study in patience.
we did pumpkin, we fasted for a day, we did gallons of water, a few ounces of boiled rice/boiled beef heart, 2 raw eggs, olive oil, and now yesterday back on raw chicken pieces and probiotics.
it's been nearly a week and she's just getting back to close to normal.
hi all, it wasnt a major problem...it was just a problem of being over fed. it was not only the 1 pup that was very fat...it was the other aswell.... i fed them the morning and then while at work my sister that lives in the seperate entrance behind our house thru a leg of lamb for them. about 1 pound(500grams) of meat, that was around 10the morning then my brother fed them on there regular lunch time there normal lunch feeding not knowing they had been fed by my sister aswell.i was ready to blow a gasket when i found this out later that evening. i left clear instructions that the only persons to feed them are me and my brother.
then ontop of that, later the afternoon about an hour b4 i got home she fed them again a full bowl of kibble each.. it took 3 days for them to get back to their sleek selves but they were fine , had a lot of poop to pass and gas that smelt terrible.
the diahrea is gone, they are thin and active, and have healthy appetites.
