Hi I am new to this forum. I have a dog that can't leave his tail alone. Is this something we should be concerned about, be correcting, etc.?
thanks
MaryAnn
He is a belgian malinois, 6 months old, chases it, runs in circles, catches it and then chews on it. I can distract him for a short time and then he goes back to it.
I have 4 :-) ........we are just starting obedience training. We had a litter of 7, we kept 2 of the males and just found a home recently for the last one leaving, so we are behind where we would like to be. We had both of the males neutered, the no-bite collar caused a staph (sp) infection on their necks so we have not been able to put collars on so that slowed us down also.

I would venture to say that he is just a bit bored and needs some exercise.
I would start there and see what happens.
My female spins in her kennel and crate if I do not work her enough.
Can they wear collars now? If not I would get a harness and take him for walks a couple times a day.
