overall, i love the latest forum format, but i do find one thing rather annoying: whenever i click on a topic, even if i've never looked at it before, i am always taken to the last post of the thread.
it would be extremely helpful if it were possible to go to the first post of a thread if you click on the name of the thread, and the last post if you click on the name of the last poster.
it's a PITA especially when a thread is more than one page.
i really love the skim feature, btw! i can see right of the bat if i want to read a thread, without clicking on it first. saves lots of time!

I have noticed that some peoples' posts dissapear, what is that all about?
Well, a poster can delete if it's done in the time limit for editing.
It's not usually a cool thing to do (IMHO) because someone may already have replied to a post, and it can make the thread weird if that post being replied to then disappears.
I really like the skim feature too! This is a very nice forum. I agree w/Alice on going to the 1st post. Another thing that might be good is adding the name of the original poster after the subject and the most recent poster in the poster column. That way you can tell if someone posted after you. I guess the skim does that too though, but it would be nice to see the original poster in the subject column.

Big Ed deletes some of the more offensive posts, also.

I'm taken to the first post I haven't read. For example, if I were to click on this topic after 3 people posted after me, I would be taken to the post after mine.
If I haven't read any of the posts, I think I'm taken to the last one. Not 100% sure, though.
