So, Remi has been on his raw diet for several weeks (has it been a month yet?) and I've noticed something - tell me if it's just my imagination.
He is a 26 month old GSD, he is 77 pounds and lean.
We had a Nissan Titan (until we lemon-law'd it a week ago) that Remi was unable to jump into the back of. He would try, and just not be able to jump into the truck. We'd have to lift him into it. The vet has said his hips always looked fine, and he's never had any issues with them.
We now have an older work truck that has a small lift on it. The net effect is about 4 inches (higher) than the Nissan.
Remi has been jumping, without a problem, into this truck now for the last several days. Nothing else has changed.
Is it possible that a diet change would have affected his ability to jump?

The new diet could certainly give him a lot more energy. We noticed the change almost immediately...my dog was bouncing off the walls from Day 1 on raw and he hasn't stopped.
Hey Connie, you always have such awesome answers. Please can you PM with good reading material? I'm not a vet student nor I pretend to be but I love reading about dog health, diet and natural treatment. Thx.

enrique.
I do too.
I PMed you some links about the effects of grains on dogs' joints.
Connie - I didn't start fish oil, so it seems that the grains had something to do with it. His ears were always really bad and we haven't had problems since we started RAW. His coat is shinier and I've noticed just a general sense of well being with him. But the ears and jumping are most noticed.
