i hate to sound like a broken record but i no exactly how much my dog now weigh! he weighs 34kg thats 75 lb!
the menu is 65 so how many more ounces do i need to add to that diet? its a very rough plan. i wont be measuring it out day in day out. i just want to get an idea on quantity. once i no how much to feed and how much he will actually eat without desrupting his condition its fine but i need some rough idea of what amount of food to feed in ounzes to a 75 lb dog.
thanks for all your help you guys have been fantastic!

Carol, I know this was directed to Toni but thank you very much for putting this down...it really helps. The whole proper balance thing continues to stress me out so this will give me a guideline to follow.
And thanks again for the veggie glop recipe...True loves it!

Sarah,
Not a problem, it is a good guideline IMO and it keeps me sane also. That is a 60/40% split of meat and veggie so for those that want more or less of meat or veggie, you just change the .6 and .4 to whatever you want the percentage to be.
Glad to hear that True likes his veggies. That is great..
ALSO....THE 26 in the first line is a TYPO..it should be 16
Thank you Connie........

Personally I feed 2.5% of the dogs weight per day for an adult (5-10% for pups). 75% bone meats (backs necks wings etc), 20-25% muscle meats (ground beef/turkey) and 5% organ meats (chicken livers/gizzards) about 4 days a week. I don't feed veggies, although I mean to, I just haven't gotten around to preparing them for easy feeding and figuring out exactly what veggies I want to feed. However I don't feel they need as much as 40%!

Like I said Mike, it is just a guideline to be adjusted as the feeder sees fit.......
I run about 80/20 actually right now and my dogs are doing well....

Since I have been feeding raw, I notice that I am feeding less and less veggies. Although I will probably never cut them totally out, I would have to say that I am pretty comfortable feeding the meat and bones now. When I first started meat and bone was a worry for me.
