My bed sits a little over 3 feet off the groud. It's a waterbed frame that has a regular mattress. The first time he marked on the pillows at the head of the bed. Today, he peed at the end of the bed. In both instances he had to jump up on the bed to do this, so no accident here. I just wish I could Vulcan mind-meld with Louie to figure out the "why" of this.
