Keith, I'd hold off on the vet appointment tomorrow until you hear more from some members of this board. Your pup has been vaccinated at 5 wks, 7 wks, and now they want to do it again at 9 wks??? YIKES! Hold off on the vet appt until you do some reading and research.
Please spend some time reading here on the forum regarding vaccinosis. There are many threads that talk about vaccinating as well as this article that Ed Frawley wrote: http://www.leerburg.com/vaccinosis.htm
In case you haven't used the Search This Site feature, go to the left side of your screen at the bottom and you'll see it. Enter the word vaccinosis and do some reading.
Absolutely read and learn everything you can about vaccines. There's plenty of information. Both of my vets, traditional and homeopathic have confirmed that yes, it is not a matter of IF there will be a reaction (side effect) to vaccinations, but WHEN. I thought it very cool that they were both so honest about it and am grateful for that. Good luck with your pup and research.
He prefers Frontline Plus over the K9 Advantix. He does not think that Advantix will stop the bugs before they bite. He also told me a story that when Advantix first came out they told people that washing the dogs would remove the protection. After Frontline was introduced Bayer started to tell everyone it was “ok” to get the dog washed.
I’m sure if I asked 10 vets I would get 10 different recommendations.
I have read the vaccinosis posting and I am trying to limit the shots that she receives. I would just hate to have her pickup something that I skipped. My last Shepherd got Parvo as a puppy and she pulled out of it, but I think I was very lucky.
