Just wondering how everyone structures their training logs. How much info do you include, do you include ob sessions? Searches only? Dates, conditions, locations, goals, times, diagrams........? Seperate book for health/feeding or same one?
Just looking through my log books and seeing they contain a tonne of info but they read a bit like a diary, wondering about changing my format. Looking for ideas.
I put:
Location, UTM coordinates, date, time. Cloud cover, humidity, barometric pressure, terrain type (wilderness/urban, ect)precipitation (rain, snow, ect).
Since we are a trailing team we put subject name, age of trail, dog start/end time and type of scent article used.
There is also a 'notes' section to list any positive/negative aspects of the trail run. This helps me keep track of what she's good at and what we need to focus on correcting.
Every time I revise them.(this is for cadaver)............LESS info, not more.
I have gone from a massive database to a few facts
Date, where, what, Known vs unknown, proper alerts, false alerts, prompts, basic location info (wilderness, rural, suburban, urban, buidling, vehichle, water etc.)
Small narrative. Enough to document reliablity.
I do have a log that charts dates I did ob, searches, training, etc. and a simple form for each trainign session.
