View Article Here I was really impressed how she took the opportunity to say good things about the pit bull breed especially since there was recent media activity on a man who was bitten by two roaming pit-bulls that had just killed a cat. (After 2 weeks the owner was finally caught and charged). Also I'm surprised how low the kill rate at this shelter is! In her response she said that in her 17 years at the humane society she has placed thousands of Pit Bulls that went on to be great family dogs and that the IHS will do anything it can to fight breed specific legislation.
