to answer your question about reverting to original behavior, some dogs do and some dogs don't. Most dogs will go back to their default behaviors when they go a certain amount of time without a consequence for their behaviors.
it's the same when you use the handler and leash/collar or ecollar though.
Dog training is something that is never "done". It's a process that continues for the life of the dog.
I find it easiest to put a bark collar on the dog every day when he gets ready to go out. I don't think it's too practical to watch your dog every second that he's outside and be ready with a leash or ecollar remote. I guarantee you my timing is not going to be as accurate as the bark collar.
Okay, so, I've been reading about the Tri-Tronics no bark limiter...
But the tri tronics dummy collar...is that so your dog doesn't get smarter then the collar and know when he can and can not bark?
And is the model Leerburg sells good for any size dog or mainly larger breeds?
Are there some dogs that bark collars just don't work for...they just don't understand that they are being corrected for the barking? Or they don't care?
Is it practical to put a collar on your dog in the evenings. I work during the day so my pup's main time outside is spent from 5p-10p. Is that an average amount of time to leave it on him?
