Hey Gary, why do you want to spay her, if she is a working GSD? She looks fairly young. I'm not too sure, but there was an article not too long ago about pro's/con's of spaying youg. More con's than pro's. I'm thinking at the earliest 24 months. I didn't know any better and spayed mine at 8 mos. I regret doing that. I would've never bred her, but I should've gave her, her time.
I know what you mean Connie! I am very new to posting here, but make it a practice to always search first. You can find some excellent answers to almost the identical scenario as you have with a quick search.

I think the reason why some people (myself included) post as well as search...is two fold..
Firstly, I think the fact the you can discuss your personal situation and circumstances in the thread is very important..and when you get answers, advice and help it's tailored to your particular dog.
It also allows for a bit of a 'community' spirit. Afterall, we all like talking about dogs...as reading only gets a bit anal.. Don't you think ?

Yep, I do agree.
So if I have a generic question, I tend to "search" for the previously-posted discussions, and then post any aspects that might make my own situation different. I find that I get more replies that way because people who have enough experience to reply haven't responded to exactly that question three thousand times.
However, I have no problem with anyone's info search methods. :>
