I have an 8 month old alaskan malamute puppy and I`ve worried about bloat. I even considered the surgery they have to secure the stomach to lessen the chance of bloat but was talked out of it by my vet. i hope someone can figure out how to prevent this

Thanks Jamie..
Yeah..the pup is nice. She's totally different to my last dog..and that helps too...as there's no comparing them...she's totally different... A real live-wire...and a temper at times... She's going to be a handful...but interesting
We feed once a day, right before we eat our dinner. The dogs always nap during our dinner time, and usually longer. Most days, I train at least one of the Shepherds an hour or two before dinner.
So far, we haven't had any problems with this feeding schedule.
Sorry for your loss! Always sad when we hear of a lost family member for any reason and at any age. Grown men can cry no matter how tough we think we are.
I am new to raw feeding so we stick to twice a day feeding with rest before and after feeding. We fast every so often like every seven yo 10 or so days. Not the six month old puppy and big dogs hate it when I feed him and not them. I try to hide it but they know.
