I have an 8 month old alaskan malamute puppy that weighs @80 lbs. I want to feed him EVO but I am concerned about the high protein. I have read conflicting opinions. Some say dogs do not need grains and they are just fillers. Others say the high protein causes kidney and liver problems. anyone have any experience with this food. thanks jamie
I've been feeding My Rott Evo for almost two years now and he is doing fine. I just recently had a full panel blood test done and all levels including protein were perfect. Do a search on here about the high protein there was a good thread a while back with some useful links.
Andy my Rott has done well on both evo and evo red meat. He just turned 4 and is very active. I tried the reduced fat evo with our 13 year old lab and over about 4 months she had the runs every couple of weeks. Even though her coat looked better I dont think the high protein was good for her. Also it costs about 1.75 to 1.80 a pound, I'm switching over to raw now.
