The officer is out of the ICU. Axle had surgery on his real leg and had a couple of screws put in. I'm told that he is a little stressed about not being with his handler, and they are working on a plan to bring him in to see her.
Jason,
Don't feel bad...it was a joke! and some people ran with it the wrong way.My comment was simply saying"I hope they get what they deserve" after hearing the injuries Suzanne received, including her K9 I thought it was the right thing to say about the idiots that hit her, kinda of a feel good comment. No big deal!
The most important part of all this is that Suzanne recovers fully and gets back to be with her K9

... Law enforcement quite often gets a bum rap in the press. Under appreciated and under paid is only the beginning of the bum rap. Let's face it, the average person has little to no true understanding of what LE does. Because of this, I try not to say anything that could be construed as reflecting negative about law enforcement in a public forum. I leave the gallows humor for private conversations with other law enforcement individuals. ...
Excellent points.
You're right, Angelique, about getting back on topic.
