We had our appointment for last Tuesday. The Vet was still very suspisious of Lupus but the nose was to infected for a biopsy. The eye was no longer very swollen but was running and gummy and the skin on her belly was warm to the touch, red and slightly swollen in spots. He gave us some Novo-Lexin to take for 14 days after which if it has not completely cleared up we are to go back for a biopsy. If it did clear up all symptoms he thought we would not need to go back unless it did flare up again. He did rule out a food allergy and he also treated Robyn for fleas and worms to rule out those possibilities. I have found Robyn to really hates pills (she has to take 4 a day) but the symptoms are all disappearing. Only her nose is still a little dry and cracked but it to is much better. I think the pills also effect her appitite because she has not been eating her full meals - and I had worked so hard to get some extra pounds on her!
