Starbuck was just about 9 weeks when I picked up the Frontline Plus. I decided to get the Puppy 3 pack. She is WAY past the 22 pound mark now. Can I just give her 2x the 22 pound dose?
Keith, here's what I found on this website http://www.petplace.com/drug-library/fipronil-and-methoprene-frontline-plus/page1.aspx :
Dosing Information
# Medication should never be administered without first consulting your veterinarian.
# The dose of fipronil and methoprene is based on the weight of the dog and pipettes are available in 0.69 ml (for dogs up to 22 pounds), 1.36 ml (for dogs 23 to 44 pounds) and 2.7 ml (for dogs 45 to 88 pounds) and 4.02 ml (for dogs 89 to 132 pounds). One pipette is applied topically every 30 days.
It looks like the dosage is doubled, BUT I may be misunderstanding what it's saying!!!
It also says this: "Overdose is rare and no adverse effects have been reported even up to 5 times the dose."
Please read the whole article, do some more research on overdose or double dose of Frontline Plus, ask your vet, etc, before you decide what to do. Make sure Starbuck isn't allergic to either medication in Frontline Plus (did he have any reaction to it when first given it?).
Edited to add: even if it's ok to use 2 pipettes, it may result in one very oily dog.

Check with your vet and see if he'll allow you to return the unopened doses in exchange for the proper size. As long as those unused doses haven't been opened it shouldn't be a problem. Our hospital did this all the time.
