When do you all feed your dogs? I feed twice a day and they love the raw diet. So much they wake me up every day to eat. They eat first at 4:30 than around 5 to 7 depending on what days I work. on fast days they try to get me up earlier. I read in one of my books that you should switch times and some times go with only one big meal a day. Sometimes it is inconvenient to be woke up when they want to eat. By the way I am obsessed with the raw feeding and got beaf kidneys for 39 cents a pound and bought all they had around 20 #
I feed my dogs twice a day, and they look forward to that schedule. My daily routine varies little, so I'm not usually bothered by early morning bouts of the hungries.
So glad you and the dogs are really taking to raw food, but just remember that kidney is an organ, and therefore, only feed a little bit at a time (5% of the total meal daily, IMO), or you will be bothered by more than eager eaters! Too much at once and you'll have some heavy-duty clean-up to do!
When I was feeding kibble, I fed my dog 3 times a day (8am, 2pm, 10pm). Now, with the extra time to do raw, she is fed 2 times a day (8 am, 8pm) with the occasional fast & 1 big meal. She loves it! Man, you are lukcy Mitch! I wish I could find stuff that cheap! $1.20/lb for soon to be expired ground beef is all I've found.

I feed raw twice daily with the older dogs an the pups eat three times a day. Since it is so hot here right now I feed early in the am and late in the evening when it is cool and the pups I bring in the house and cool off before I feed them in crates.
Access to fresh clean water is available at all times in the kennels and day runs.
