The information is confusing. There is no food source for glucosamine however it can be manufactured from bone marrow. What I found particularly interesting about this article is the Harvard Medical School Study which gave hip surgery patients ground chicken bone supplements which proved to be effective in pain control.
If there is any validity to this study, it would stand to reason that a dog fed a raw diet would be receiving the benefits of glucosamine from the bones. Sounds like a food source to me. Interesting, I'd really love to get a hold of more info on that study.
