found the toad when I let her outside after getting of work tonight...she must have eaten the head of the toad this morning(we had a tropical storm come thru Houston today)when she was out...now she's eating grass outside and dry heaving...still wants to play fetch at 1:38am! but is scaring me...any ideas?
I gave her about a cup of blended apples/carrots to help push the offending stuff in her gut thru along with a couple of tablespoons of olive oil and about a cup of water.
any other ideas? it was just a regular old toad, but I don't know if it could be toxic in any way....
A childhood friend's dog used to eat them. I think the dog had the same reaction - dry heaves and throwing up. Not sure if there were any other side effects.

I'd call the vet, and save the rest of the toad in a baggy (and then wash my hands).
The American toad produces a poisonous white-ish fluid.
