Adam Dorn Webboard User Reg: 11-22-2006 Posts: 144 Loc: NY (Near Syracuse) Offline	We waited to get Bella spayed until after her first cycle because of hormone, and development issues. She's eleven monts old now and she has been very "tempermental" as of late. Anybody else have this happen in their females before first cycle?? Been so long since I had a young dog around the house, and I have never had a female before?? My buddy's Fila just got done with her first cycle (at about 10 months or so) and she was very tempermental just beofre and during the whole three weeks of the cycle. Is this a young dog, or menstration issue?? Thanks Adam

Is this a young dog, or menstration issue?? Dogs don't menstruate. They have heat cycles (estrus). Some do have temperament changes during estrus. I don't know whether it's more common than not; maybe a breeder will address that.
