It's hard sometimes to save people from themselves. I have to bite my tongue often times with folks within the papillon show circles for the total crap they allow their dogs to do. Yappy, aggresive, and ill mannered little swine as breeding stock drives me nuts. People always comment to me about how well mannered my dogs are and generally give me a look when I tell them not to touch them which always seem to immediately follow.
Switching this up to dogs that can truly do real damage to someone and themselves is another story. If this person is putting themselves at danger and you care about them you owe it to them to have a "talk." Ask them about a behavior they can't deny (growling, fights) and build it into how this works or does not work with their life. If there is a genuine danger (handler aggression, etc) I think it would be a professional obligation to discuss options with them.
