There are many different types of space heaters on the market now. I agree with Sandy if they are the "old fashioned" type reflector radiant heaters. They are scary. Some of the newer liquid filled types are much safer, although they are not as strong. My Rotts, Labs and GSD's did fine in the garage until about 15 degrees F. They maybe could have done fine even colder but I just brought them in the house. I think wind combined with cold is much tougher on animals and humans as well. That wouldn't be a problem in a garage.
Sorry, I mean freezing, just 32, not minus 32, it doesn't get that cold in CT. and only during the day, she sleeps with us at night. Just wondering if being in the crate will be too cold. She only has the problem when we are not there, she'll bark to go out if we are home. Many times she won't go in the morning before work especially if its raining. Then she can't last the whole day in the kitchen. Started putting her in the garage and she started messing in the garage. So now, brought the crate back out. She has been checked by the vet. She's fairly neurotic, think she feels safer going inside. I'd like to think a couple of weeks back in the crate would change things but I don't think so- she'll go months without an accident and then start regressing again.
