Thank you all for your nice comments. He was my first GSD and I adopted him when he was a year and a half old. He was "perfect". I had two small children and two small kittens when I first got him. He was good with everyone and house trained, etc. He just wanted to be with the family and was always watching out for us.
I am happy I have a place like this to express my feelings about my wonderful boy. I wasn't ready for him to go, but I am glad he won't live to be in any worse pain than what he might have already been feeling.
