Yesterday my pup ate 3 meals of food. And went to bed with a meal of food. This morning i wake up early and got his food ready. He did not want any thing to do with it. He wanted his bottle and boy did he let me know he has got some lungs on him lol. Anyway is this normal when your taking them off the bottle and changing to food. And how many times a day should he eat now that he is somewhat on food.

It would be very helpful if you would keep one thread for your pup instead of starting a new one every time a new issue comes up. That way we aren't guessing at how old he is, what you're feeding him, or any other past issues you have had with the same pup.
Your posts are much easier to read now that you are using punctuation, thank you!
It would also be a good idea to read all of Ed's free eBooks, they will give you lots of information on training, dog behavior, and feeding puppies and adult dogs. If you read them you will have many of your questions answered.
How old is the pup now? How much does he weigh? What has he been eating, and for how long? Is he acting healthy or sick? Does he have teeth?
He is about 4 1/2 weeks and yes they are all the same pup. I will start on this tread. He is still on formula. But yes yesterday he would not take his bottle all day he wanted the food. Right now he is on IAMS. But that will change in the very near future. He does have teeth front and back. There is a section in between the front and back that he does not have any. Sorry new at this I am printing and starting to read the things i can't read very well on the computer. And i ordered a lot of books to and dvd's. He is about 8 pounds i would say. He has been on the formula for 2 weeks now and starting on puppy food And formula. he is acting very healthy. He try's to play with my bigger pup. But he seems to be dehydrated so i added more water to his formula. But he seems to only want it at night and right when he wakes up so i dont know how to keep him hydrated mike gave me advice earlier and I'm starting that.
Do not water down his formula!
You can check his hydration by pinching up and slightly twisting the skin on the back of his neck, when you release it should go right back down. If it stays up or returns slowly then he is dehydrated.
The best thing for dehydration is electrolytes.
Pedialyte will work, or you can make your own: 1 quart water, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp soda bicarbonate (baking soda), 2 tablespoons sugar or honey.
Another good electrolyte recipe is oat water: 1/2 gal water, 1/2 cup oats, 1 tsp. salt, 1/3 cup honey. Boil the water, add the oats, salt and honey. Let sit for 20 min. strain off the oats. According to Amber Tech the oat water recipe will work slightly better than the pedialytle. You can give any of the electrolyte solutions by mouth with a syringe, or as a rectal enema if he can't hold down liquids (which your pup doesn't appear to be having problems with), it will absorb just as well either way.
If your pup is not dehydrated you will kill him if you give him too much fluid.
If you give him his formula, have water available to him and provide dry or moistened food he will keep himself balance if he isn't sick.
You can moisten his dry food with the formula instead of water and he will be more likely to eat it. He is still very young and I wouldn't expect him to be eating a lot of dry food right now. You can start to cut back on the formula when he is 5 1/2 to 6 weeks old. If he will drink out of a dish you can give him the strait formula that way instead of with the bottle.
If he is looking and acting healthy don't worry about him so much.
Ok thank you I guess I'm what you call of over worried parent. I have never done this before. He is doing ok and I'm proud of him. I try the first one and it worked he is ok now and still trying to eat. Is that ok or do I just stick to formula right now. He likes to eat so should i take the regular food away or can he eat and drink formula.
Just a up date he is now drinking a little bit. And is doing good i have him on 2 bottles because i start working again next week so i have to speed up the process a little bit. But he is now 7 pound and doing really good. And got his full set of teeth god they come in fast.
