sandy, that's so nice, but i don't know i'm quite that good about figuring luc out!

honestly, you all are really helping me feel more confident about my reactions. i have lots of animal experience but no dog experience, and i knew going into adopting luc that it would be different and more work, and i actually really enjoy that, b/c it's so cool to see him progress and to see us bond. but i do worry that as a first-timer i make mistakes, and - it's like with vets. i use to run a TNR program for a cat rescue, and when i first started - i deferred to vets, they were vets after all! but i learned enough to form my own opinions and i got more experience. i think w/dog trainer i'm still in the deferential stage b/c i'm still feeling my way around it.

anyways, thank you all. you've greatly put my mind at ease that i'm not off-base, and that i'm making the right decision. i actually feel like we'll keep on learning and progressing the two of us. but i'm not sure i would have had the confidence to make that decision - at least at this stage - without all of your very helpful feedback. i'm so grateful this forum is here and i can learn from your experience!
