I take that back, I love, love, love my new chuckit! This is the first toy that I have found that I can use and get my 7 mos old puppy tired. In the 5 mos I have had him, I have lost 30 much needed pounds just trying to exercise him enough to take the edge off him. My baby boy, I swear, is part chainsaw and exercise is the only way to keep him from being a whirlwind of destruction.
This toy even lets me, who throws like a girl, throw the ball long distance and the first time I have been able to get him in a full out run for any distance. He actually comes back in the house and lays down! Who knew how great a tired puppy was?
With the talk about tennis balls and the enamel on dog teeth, does anyone know if they make a rubber ball that fits in the Chuck-it? I can get the Orbee ball to go in, but it's a tight fit.
There are three constants in life: Death, taxes and the love of a dog.

I use the Medium Viceroy Road hockey balls. They are a bright blaze orange and made out of durable natural rubber. With my long Chuck-it I can consistantly hit 110-120 feet as they have a bit of weight behind them, they are like $.99 so if you lose it not a big deal compared to losing a Orbee ball. Only thing with the weight behind them you have to be mindful of where you throw it. One of my buddies klanged his Jack Russell upside the head with a errant throw and knocked the poor little guy out cold. (the dog made a full recovery btw)
